Choosing a First Kiln

The Glasshoppa on Social Media
There is indeed a Glasshoppa Facebook page and I resolve to pay more attention to it in the future. There is also a Twitter handle (@_Glasshoppa) but tweets are rare and even more rarely are they glass-related. My Instagram username is Glasshoppa and I might start posting more frequently someday. Want to socialize? That’s nice. Email is your best bet.

The kiln is an expensive proposition but you won't get far in fusing without one, and hopefully one that’s near at hand. Here are some tried and true suggestions to help you prevent an expensive case of buyer’s remorse.

Searching with Key Words
On the Patreon web page, Patrons can search for Glasshoppa projects using key words like “drilling” or “fire polishing” to bring up videos that include useful information or demonstrations on the topic of interest. You'll find the keywords (called “Tags”) listed on the left side of the page once you are logged in.
I don't charge much for membership in the Patronage program. My objective is to help make your progress in this craft easier, quicker and more affordable. I want to reduce the frustrations and disappointments that too often lead to a pile of costly equipment gathering dust in the garage. So for a small pledge, unlimited access to all Glasshoppa videos. For a slightly larger one, membership in a special club — Glasshoppa’s Big Hearted Benefactors. I’ll add your name to the Glasshoppa Wall of Thanks, which scrolls at the end of each new video, where you will be recognized as a grand and generous supporter of all things glorious and glassious!

Contact the Glasshoppa
I welcome our exchanges!  Email is best, or you may use the contact form on this page. I can usually respond within a day or so. Facebook messages may not be seen for awhile …
